I am a newbie to The Forum. I love the banter that goes on between existing members. I am currently employed in an office based job at Eddie Stobart Ltd planning and controlling trucks (I have had my HGV for 20 years).
I took time out of my career for a change and done a degree in accounting & finance at Lancaster Uni and ended up working for a Chartered Accountants doing my chartered exams, but hated the environment I worked in, so back to Steady Eddie.
I have had my own trucks and my own recruitment agency, as well as running 3 mobile catering vans at various shows and events around the country (still struggling to find the perfect example to put in my HATO application form, but not as bad as the examples the HATO mobile management posts required last year, I gave up trying to fill it in eventually).
Jobs advertised at Carlisle North for 3 HATOs, and I will be sending application away today, will be a pay cut if I get it, but hey ho!
I wish I could post more on the site, but not being an existing HATO there is not that much I can respond to.
I think the assessment centre sounds scary having never done group exercises or role playing, but have picked up some valuable pointers from some of the post on this fabulous forum.
I will let you all know how things progress and if successful will become a regular contributor to this Forum.
