tomorrow is the big day, bring it on! I have read just about all I can on this site. I am sure it is to do with building a lego bridge and car in the group exercise, don't be too bossy or too quite, say something first and last. Remember it is the teamworking aspect being marked not the technical aspect i.e. how the car/bridge turns out.

I'm not sure if there is one or more than one role playing exercise, but think it is about an irrate relative of someone involved in an accident and they want answers. I have printed out my Achievement Record and got other examples for each of them.

I have no idea how it will go in all seriousness, but one can only do their best. Candidates will be informed of the results the week beginning the 29th March.

Pheeeeewwwww! How long was that assessment! 5 hours! I don't know how I done. I did find out that there were 600 applicants and that 70 had been invited to assessment which was spread over 6 days.

There were 5 guys and 1 girl on my assessment, the girl only got the nod at 10am cause someone dropped out at the last minute, so NRG employee went to pick her up from Chorley or somewhere and she came to assessment in her Royal Mail uniform, so fair play to her.

Group exercise: I thought I would be the only one who would know what to say etc, but everyone had the same idea, so it all sounded a bit silly like A; let's focus on the bridge. B; I think we should start on the bridge. C; I'll do the bridge etc. but no-one stood back and we all got stuck in in, so who knows.

Role playing: 3 scenarios, very strange, Security Guard, Customer Service, Hato. I think I done ok with the customer service one, not so good with the security guard, as I thought I couldn't leave the desk, but it was the room I couldn't leave so maybe I should have put a comforting arm around the distressed woman, but I am not so sure that you can do that in this day and age. Hato was ok except I said I would get the woman a taxi to come and collect her from the hard shoulder until I realised that was a no-no, so when she suggested her friend would come and get out his car and wait with her car while she got in his, I said NOOO.

Writing about the role play gave me a chance to say what I would do differently.

Interview I found difficult as it was a variation on the question on the application, therefore my answers did not all fit the 'new' question.

I am proud that I have got this far, as there were 600 applicants. If I get the job I will be over the moon. If I don't then the successful candidates certainly deserve it.

NRG did say that if unsuccessful that I should apply again, as sometimes that is the way it happens.

My experience with scousers is that they are all comedians, so at least there will plenty of laughs and jokes and that is bound to keep moral up. I don't have wheel trims so I'll be ok Slabber.
