Depends where I am working but normally just my key pouch, keys and a radio (yes.....they are now letting xHx loose with a radio hehe). Am attempting to track down one of those anti-bac gel things that clip onto your belt too, but so far no luck. Normally have my trusty packet of tissues and a biro close by of not actually carried on me.

Yup, when I am not at Uni I am your local friendly Prison Library Assistant. Lovely!

I carry standard medic equip pouch (sheers, pen torch, gloves, dressing scissors and pop my leatherman in there too), pocket facemask and according to the duty led lenser police tec focus torch and radio.

And where possible dump my kitbag in first aid post and get my partner to carry theirs or be ambulance crew as its awkward to carry and im a lazy git ha ha ha

When I started we had 1 TO (based at RCC) who had a multi tool on his belt; as supervisor who was working at the RCC until her station was on-line, told him to take it of. When he pointed out why he had it, she atarted disciplianry action against him.

He was eventually hounded out. So much so that when he challenged the OM who became the investigation officer over 2 x statments that gave conflicting dates & times (one he was in the office waiting to see the Om and not allowed out & the other was on his rest-day) the OM said "Oh that's a mistake; I'll have to get the statements re-done".

The lad eventually dropped is unfair dismissal case as his health was suffering because of all the stress that he was being caused.

All because he made the decision to carry a multi tool on his belt......!

The supervisor who started it all, was investigated 3 times (once for wasting police time - with a bogus "attacked by armed men" on hard shoulder, 2 x for sexual harrasment), and was eventually dismissed.

We had multi-tools issued to us (there was money left in equipment budget, it had to be spent!).

A week later they tried to recall them, as all the muppets kept slicing fingers on the blade as it didn't lock!!!?

Those of us that kept them had to undertake not to sue if we hurt ourselves.........you couldn't make this stuff up.
