Google camera passed me today as I was walking around Kingtown Industrial Estate in Carlisle. It was actually a small hatchback with some Google stickers on it and a large contraption strapped to the roof, about 6' tall, I wouldn't have liked to corner a bit sharpish in that.

I assume I will forever be seen walking down Kingstown Broadway in 'Cyberspace'

How do you grab an image from street view?

Print Screen, then paste the image into paint and crop as required.

Then, save it, and upload the saved image to photobucket/imageshack.

You can link directly to the streetview link, but that way, everyone can see the full address of what you are looking at...

I think its disgraceful some of the images - you can get up really close to the Nick where I work, see the staff car park and visitor carp park and perimeter fence.

Yeah you cna do these things in real life, but you're more likely to attract attention than sat miles away looking on google images. Wonder what other sensitive wonders appear?

Checked my house, and found that the bl**dy missus left the window open when she went out, not the best idea where i live.

Having said that they're very subtle round my way - no fishhook thru' your door, they use a sledge hammer and help themselves whether you're in or not!!
