I have taken some statements for some very basic offences, but generally we aren't supposed to. I only do them because of the role I'm in.

Ive considered using a crayon to write the log number on. Easy to remove but takes a minute or so longer and if its seen on the back of a wagon etc then their should be enough for a lock up perhaps. Not perfect but better than nothing. good idea, mark the stones in someway so if they are caught you...
