Our furthest PCSO comes from HASTINGS to WATERLOO a round trip of about 92 hours each way and he still doesn't get to work at 07.00 for the E/T on his 1st train. Going home he gets the 23.40 and get shome at 02:00.

He also has engineering works at the moment and it adds another 40 minutes on top of that!.

My train is 37 minutes and a 7 minute walk

We also have a Officers that come from Portsmouth, Milton Keynes, Bournemouth, Peterborough daily

Job satisfaction is such a rarity for most nowadays. Having it makes any of us tolerate any downsides irrespective of what our employment is.

by ANTHONY C » Thu Nov 29, 2007 10:12 pm

Yeah it does feel like that but i don't want to complain, i am loving the job so that makes its alot more bearable. :) :)

Hope you get one soon - early shifts must feel like they start in the middle of the night for you. Hell, I bet they actually do!!

110 miles round trip plus heavy traffic basically 3 hours in the morning and 2 to 4 hours in the evening.

by NBT001 » Thu Nov 29, 2007 9:55 pm

Wow Anthony - that some journey each day. How far from your posting do you live? Or do you have really heavy traffic to negotiate?
