Re: NEW MET UNIFORM

There is a new fleece and jacket for PCSOs, in a far nicer colour, and the fleece can be worn on top of met vest now. I've no idea how you order one though

No PCSOs are not subject to the same code of conduct. If you have a look on google you'll find the full police officer code of conduct.

Re: The thin fluorescent line.....

The article isn't very clear, but the plan is that we will be wearing high viz when ever we are out on foot patrol, rather than just public order and dealing with RTCs.

Re: PCSOs issuing fixed penalty notices

I've not seen the episode, but surely if he doesn't have an address then he should have just arrested him and left his van where it was to get a ticket or towed?

Re: PC Course

Yeah I have just finished the PLC and conversion course

In terms of financial year, yeah recruits do get paid less, plus because they stay as PCSOs in means that the boroughs are paying for the PCSOs rather than training school

Re: PC Course

It's all to do with financial reasons why you don't attest until a while through your course, you'll probably find that in 6 weeks it's classed as the new financial year. I think the only reason there is roughly 400 more pcso to PC starting is because it's London mayor elections this year so it mean...

I highly doubt they will be recruiting anytime soon, most boroughs are trying to reduce their numbers over the next fee months

Re: TPSO

Its both, you are expected to give out tickets for red routes and similar things, and you are also expected to man road closures on TfL managed roads. Overall the main role is to keep the main roads in London moving

They then aren't left with enough time to recruit another 600 and have them started in time. The current process is to increase officer numbers...
