Re: 2nd Jan starters....

Hi Guys,

Nothing much to report from mine, 4 of us newbies there at Eltham.

Went in had a bit of a chat and did the paperwork read through and signed contracts.

Tomorrow will probably be different though.

Re: Start date for the Met

That's terrible. I've been panicing wondering whether any of my ex employers would do that, I know 2 of them haven't including my current, but I worked for Royal Mail 4 years or so ago and I have no idea what they will say. The rule about giving a bad reference is a bit of an urban myth really, they...

Sadly he's not, I've already been warned about this bit, sounds fun! At the end of the day we are going to come in to contact with it at some point, I'd rather know exactly what to expect.

Well done, we'll be seeing you about then as we'll still be there then.

They don't tell you your ward until day 1 I think. You have to report to a station in your brough and go from there.

Re: Has anyone done their training at Sidcup???

Hiya,

£4.20 a day or £19.70 per week for parking isn't too bad really. Surely if you buy a weekly ticket you get a space every day?

The toll went up on 15th November, I have got a Dart Tag for that part, it takes the cost down to £1 each way and well worth getting.

Re: Has anyone done their training at Sidcup???

Evening All, I did a run over to Marlowe House today, the bad news is that parking will be a pain, there is a small car park on site, but whether we can use that or not is a different story. Most of the side streets and residential parts are permit only parking. I'm going to give them a bell this we...

I'm doing a run on Saturday morning too, going to drive over to my Borough (Greenwich) and then onto Sidcup to have a look roun...
