Re: What injuries have you received on duty?
A small 4 inch cut from wire sticking out of a childrens play area (which scarred). Boring really!

Re: photographer is quizzed by police
'That was completely untrue, of course, but the police have no right to come round here asking questions anyway. That comment made me chuckle. Ok then I guess the police have no right to question him if they suspect him of shoplifting, speeding etc. Idiot. Thats exactly what i was going to say!!! W...

Re: RADIO MISHAPS!!!
I once stopped with a motorbike on the motorway with a puncture, I radioed it in stating it was a rear puncture. The controller replied, "Near or offside?" I said it's a motorbike! Followed by a muffled "out!" :slwoot: This made me choke on my coffee!!! Reminds me of a story about a one armed man.....

Re: Dispatches ' Cops on the cheap '
It could have been worse. The program had less of a slamming and more of an ambivalent feel. I was stopped by one MOP about this and they told me that they thought that my colleagues and i do a good job. (I was right bout it being a hot topic at work!). There were elements of the programme that were...

Re: Dispatches ' Cops on the cheap '
I am sure that this will be a hot topic at work tomorrow. I also feel that people will stop me on patrol tomorrow to tell me about this. For those two reasons i now feel obliged to watch it!!

Re: Scruffy!! - poor example
Not always the case, its down to the individual skipper to really make the decision or not. Its the mets policy to wear Hi-Vis jackets, but a lot of teams do not wear theres on routine patrols. I can understand it more for town centre duties though Agreed. I suffer from foot in mouth disease...

Re: Scruffy!! - poor example
Err, i am a pcso (in training) in norwich. He shouldn't be on patrol in that particular uniform (according to the guidelines). On patrol he should have a high visibility jacket on. The boots do scuff easily (as i have found after doing first aid practice on the floor) although, if he was wearing his...

The medical takes about an hour and they do random drugs tests, hearing tests and review the form that ...

Re: Coroners court adjourned after pcso admitted....
I've just remembered, having seen a training video the other day, there is a right way to put out cones. She may have been killed herself if she had not put out the cones walking backwards. GFORCE, i did state that she had made some critical errors in my original post, but to pick up on your point a...
