Re: Police sack officers in naked mobile phone pictures scan

So the girl who had the naked picture of herself stolen was dismissed also? It's not clear, bit tight if she was.

Re: Officer Recruitment Policies Are 'Morally Wrong'

Im not sure what you mean about the application procedure being different for PCSOs...are you saying there should be a fast track system?? When I applied for the PCSO role I was told entrance application and assessment centre was pretty similar to that of a PC so to do the whole process again and p...

Re: Lock 'jammers' steal cars in a click

If your blipper don't work most people with common sense would lock it using the key, even if I walk away from my car and forget to blip it, my alarm activates and engages the immobiliser after 30 seconds or so so as soon as you open the unlocked door the siren sounds and you can't start it, never t...

Re: 'We're not a taxi service': What police told young woman

Wasn't there so can't speak for the officers but, did she explain she was being stalked, did she even know? How drunk was she? We aren't a taxi service. Might just be a case of some seriously unfortunate events that ended with her nasty death.

Sounds extremely lucky too, could have quite easily gone the wrong way by the sound of it. Well done for getting the mentally ill guy he could have hurt many more if not detained.

Re: Officer Recruitment Policies Are 'Morally Wrong'

I absolutely agree. Its a bit like expecting a nurse to have worked as a health care assistant or volunteer. Prospective constables should be drawn from all walks of life and it should never be assumed that a PCSO makes a better constable than an insurance salesman. Indeed, the current regime is a ...

Re: Met rules on Tattoos..

All tatts should be judged on an individual basis with your application, how can a girl with one of them "trendy" flower tatts that goes from wrist to the little finger and is only a plant with flowers for instance be compared to someone with ACAB on their knuckles?

Re: Met rules on Tattoos..

dis·crim·i·na·tion/disˌkriməˈnāSHən/ Noun:The unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people or things, esp. on the grounds of race, age, or sex. People who have tatts are a catagory of people (while not a race/etc) are they not? since when does having tatts make you less trustwo...

Re: Met rules on Tattoos..

What ever way you look at it it's discrimination, of course racist/violent tatts should be a no no but tatts are a form of individuality which should be protected under human rights, how far do you go with standard appearance all jar head syle crew cuts? Males 5 foot 8 to 6 foot 2 only? The list is ...

The term regular is to differentiate between full time officers and specials and is not derogatory. I think full just means fully empowered or warranted and also not really derogatory.

Re: Failing to Display a VEL

We have the devolved DVLA authority to seize untaxed vehicles. We check a database we have access to and if it's untaxed we remove it. If it is taxed but failing to display we just leave it alone. I think it's a bit low to fine someone for not having something they actually have. Same here, 2 month...

I hate when folk use real or proper copper as a insult mainly because I hate ignorance, i'm not a copper i'm a PCSO therefore i'm not the opposite of a proper copper (fake copper/plastic/etc) it's just ignorant and simply dumb.

Looks like he's the sort of guy that will get up and say sumat along the lines of "I am Andrew of the family Priest, I don't consent to be governed, show me the harm or loss, I pay tax's therefore I own part of that police car" etc.
