Re: Hundreds of PCSOs to lose their jobs in West Mids

I feel really sad for my colleagues in the West Midlands. Yes, our jobs are safe in the London area. BUT, I cannot see any reason why constabularies are axing Police officers or PCSO's. But sadly this is a typical Conservative Government trying to save money. They don't care about the victims of cri...

Re: Hundreds of PCSOs to lose their jobs in West Mids

Being within the MPS, l really feel for you in all the midlands. But this is now being felt with my force. I know of five officers that will go tomorrow if offered money - but there isn't any money left. I think the major problem is that the Conservatives don't like PCSO's, as they want warranted of...

Re: Victims 'asked to investigate crime themsel

I read this and find it amazing.with the severe cutbacks. I am surprised any crime is investigated. I blame all these cutbacks on what happened to Theresa May at the Federation Conference, when Members had a go at her, with a no confidence in her. Its May';s way of getting back them with all the cut...

FUNDING OF PCSO'S

When l started the best job in the world, l have been a PCSO since 2009. I was told two years ago that funding for PCSOs finishes in 2015. But been advised by my Union rep that this is a 'rolling agreement' Does anyone know on this forum, wether a 'rolling agreement' is a continous agreement. Its wi...

Re: E petition to Scrap Police & Crime Commissioners

In a time when police forces across the country, are cutting officers. I beleive that the idea of PCC's are a total waste of time. In the Met we have Borough Commanders, who to me make a brilliant jon on very low resourtces. We dont need PCC's. The salary that they get - l think 85.000 per year, cou...

Re: PCSOs want more powers

It is always strange that a PCSO, now gone onto PC pastures, says that PCSO's should have more powers. Some PCs that have gone from Cso onto PC role CANNOT stand CSO's and their role. Many of my old CSO's mates, that are now PCs, just walk past me as if l didn't exist. Then l tell them that you forg...

Re: DS from Eltham resigns (on Facebook)

To be totally honest, l think that the Mayor of London took take a long hard look in the mirror. You cannot cut this and that by 20% its virtually impossible. We need more coppers on the street NOT LESS. Crime is going up each day, and it won't stop. Crooks are not stupid, they know there is not eno...

Cutting PCSO's in the MET - again

There are rumours flying around again in the MET, that they are going to cut PCSO's again in the Met. I dont know about the rest of the country - merging PCSO's with Transport officers. Its again a worrying time for officers who love the job. It has been said that they will not replce PCSO's that ar...

Christmas Time

Being a PCSO has been the proudest moment of my life and with three years to my retirement, it will be a very sad day for me. But since l have been in 2009, l was a special for 16 years. So l have had a mixture in the job. But in that time l have travelled through many counties and spoken with vario...

Re: Save our PCSO'S

Hi Yvonne, I believe this petition is nationwide or just from one force ? I am with the Met Police, and l hear rumours like this all the time. And to be honest it is a bit upsetting to hear this news all the time. I am three years off retirement from this job that l am proud to enjoy. I did hear a r...
