Lincs Police are recruiting at the moment. My VPCSO is applying.
Closing date is 1st March for June or July intake.
Won't be enough to backfill but it's a start.

Re: End of Lincs PCSO's possibly?
We can't be replaced by VPCSO's. To date, two volunteers have been made independent one of whom is my volunteer and he starts training to be a PC in a few days which leaves the Market Rasen independent VPCSO. My other volunteer has no intention on becoming independent. VPCSO'S are not the problem, c...

Re: Could this be the end of the PCSO ??
The government hasn't considered legalising many crimes.
By decriminalising shoplifting, assault, sexual offences, street robbery, cyber crime etc then crime will naturally fall and there will be no need for large number of police officers and staff therefore saving money.

Re: PCSO annual fitness test..
Fitness, what's that then?
On my training course nearly 2 years ago I was the most unfit in the group. I've never needed to be fit and don't see why I have to start now.

I'll be with the trade unions and I'm far from a militant socialist, but I do believe the ordinary hard working person is being shafted, as usual.

Re: Legalise all drugs - police chief (Brunstrom Strikes Aga
It's not all rosy in Holland reading this, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drug_policy_of_the_Netherlands From the next article below, " It is poignant that my brother, who has had bitter and damaging problems with drugs and alcohol, is most adamantly against the legalization of drugs. Sometimes I...

Re: Un-taxed Vehicles.
In my experience, I could report a vehicle not displaying a valid tax disc until I'm blue in the face. Nothing will happen to the driver if the car is taxed.
I've been told it is a Police offence of failing to display.

Re: PCC's any Issues for PCSO's ??
Although I've never had the power to detain, I've often asked suspects to wait with me for a Police Officer.
Do any PCSO's actually have the power of force to detain, or is it something that PCSO's do anyway?

I spoke to the HMRC last week and was told I couldn't claim for my UNISON membership as only nurses can claim!
