Re: Sharia Zones

Just before this little thread rumbles off any further on a tangent of "they ", "them ", " human rights " and " if it was us, we'd all be called racist "......can we just remember what this story is about? A teeny rump minority of stupid extremists out to do nothing more than stir up trouble and cau...

Re: Sharia Zones

Great post Dark Lord, quite right! The typically inflammatory reporting by Daily Mail is just what you'd expect, but let's just focus on the story. Some self-appointed petulant is setting himself up to grab some headlines with such a stupid claim like "I have set up a Sharia law area"...?! Whatever ...

Re: Met Self Service HR

No it doesn't. Until you get a full proper confirmation email/letter sent to you personally, nothing is confirmed. Good luck though, sure it will be fine.

Re: Murdock Security lapse National embarrassment

If you check your facts before mouthing off Plum, you'll learn that security matters at the Palace of Westminster and Portcullis House (where this hearing was held) are not down to the Met to organise - this key role is in fact the responsibility of the Serjeant-at Arms ( no I haven't made a spellin...

Re: THE MET ARE RECRUITING NEW PCSOs IN DECEMBER

Just had a look at the PCS site, to make sure i'm up to date myself (although unions have zero say in recruitment or anything else)! Here's what they say about the Voluntary Exit (redundancy) http://www.pcs.org.uk/en/metropolitan-police-group/news/Met-Police-Redundancies/voluntary-exitredundncy-exer...

Re: THE MET ARE RECRUITING NEW PCSOs IN DECEMBER

Sorry but this is extremely unlikely, and certainly not anything I've heard about. Also, since when do "trainers" have anything to do with recruiting? And when you say "training department", who do you mean? RLCs? Hendon, that is being wound down? At a time when so many police staff are sadly exitin...

Re: Do you do Crime Reports?

Yes, in those certain Forces that employ people specifically called "Civilian Investigator" as a job title, and individually named as having those powers by/on behalf of their CC.

But this does NOT include any PCSO.

Re: Do you do Crime Reports?

There's a lot of good work going on around various forces for sure. In the Met, PCSOs cannot "collect" (ie. seize) CCTV, exhibits etc etc, because they have no power to do so. This is the same in all other forces. To ensure any exhibit including CCTV remains admissible at court, we need an evidentia...

New PC recruitment campaign - if you're up North!

Just seen this on a web site - recruitment campaign for new PCs with Civil Nuclear Constabulary. Might be of interest for anyone fed up waiting elsewhere?!

Re: Are the Met Police actually now intaking PCSOs??!

Fair point - let me tidy up what i posted earlier! There is no PCSO recruitment NOW...nor is there likely to be any time soon. What happens afer next year or the year after is anybody's guess, how long is a piece of string? You don't need newspaper links or other stuff to find out what's going on. T...

Re: Are the Met Police actually now intaking PCSOs??!

If I understand your position correctly, you passed the selection stages a long time ago, may have received a conditional offer of a post, but haven't yet had any confirmation of a start date, training date or any Borough offer. If that is the case, then I'm afraid you're out of luck. Like TCB posts...

"Re-deploy", as in be offered other posts, rather than people actually losing jobs.
