Re: Frustration

Slightly different, but I got called every name under the sun, including swear words that I have never heard before out of the mouth of a lovely looking blonde 15 year old girl when she was caught for shoplifting. I couldn't believe what I was hearing!! In a separate incident, a 17 year old boy that...

Re: Stop and Account

Depends who it is and what the situation is, is I'm stopping someone who has just robbed someone, I'm certainly not polite. If it's a usual abusive street drinker I'm not polite. Varies and another aspect that makes the job interesting and fun!

Re: What really annoys you about the job

I'm top rate now on outer London Borough and I'm on over £29K inner London boroughs are on over £30 now, so it's pretty good money, just very frustrating sometimes and I agree 100% with what PC50 said!!

Re: CYCLING ON THE FOOTWAY

I don't think using discretion is a sad thing, I think it's an essential part of doing your job. Usually is someone fails the attitude test they get a ticket. I haven't actually given out a cycling ticket for months. I use my discretion and more often than not they are under 16 anyway. The general p...

Re: Is Neighbourhood Policing a Luxury we Cannot Afford?

I worse my arse off everyday. Don't play the figures game, but bring a good return in most days. I know I make a difference, and I shall continue to be out there on the streets until I either retire or die!!!

Re: Interview with Metropolitan PCSO for BBC Inside Out Lond

Nothing to do with what the Met want, it's what the programme want. They want someone from an ethnic background to tell them how their ethnicity affects their job.

Re: Citizen's arrests plummet...

The reason there are less citizens arrests is because we are out there detaining!! .!!! Sorry, but utter tosh. People don't get involved because they're scared of getting hurt or sued. Its nothing to do with you I'm afraid. Obviously there is an element to the fear factor of people. My town centre ...

Re: Citizen's arrests plummet...

I detained 3 people today who were then arrested. I didn't make a citizens arrest I detained them, like I'm supposed to do, like I do regularly. The reason there are less citizens arrests is because we are out there detaining!! .!!!

Re: Interview with Metropolitan PCSO for BBC Inside Out Lond

The Hulk Hogan-Howe calls us CSOs, cos he's from "up North", but we are PCSOS, we are members of the police not council wardens :slsa:
