I wonder if they'll have this as a cap badge? http://www.brendasschoolwear.com/acatalog/prefect_badge.jpg On a serious note, I really do think they are too young. There are too many operational issues that I don't think have been thought about. If you was a member of the public would you want...

I don't care what size an officer is providing: A) They can pass the fitness test and OST B) They are fit enough to cover my back in the event it all goes a bit wonky and not dying on me One should be able to run a reasonable distance and be fit enough to 'fight' at the end. I personally think we sh...

“The swift sentence handed down to Reyes Mora shows just how seriously theft of passenger property is treated by BTP and the courts.”

Last week (might have been week before) we recieved an email from our chief inspector stating that as PCSOs we can only exercise our powers in full uniform. And since full uniform includes a name/number patch, we are to wear them.
Sneaky!!

I don't mind wearing one saying PC 3973 or whatever collar number, I'd not be amused wearing one with my name on it. BTP PC's and indeed PCSO's do a lot of basic anti terrorism work in which we don't have to give our names - to have a huge badge with it on would defeat the object of this policy. :?

Oh, and Met Police Officers, especially on response in central London, have some of the least amount of paperwork going so you can't have it both ways!  They nick, MG11, handover back on the streets. I nick, its MG11, statement taking, interview, bail, get CCTV, more statements, writ...

As you know I'm a PC not a PCSO so I do other stuff but all I can say is God, I'm tired! I have dealt with 4 very messy fatals and one attempted jumper in two sets of shifts!

The world is going mad!

Varies from one month to the next. If I'm doing lots of football or public order I tend to hit the gym hard and bulk up a bit - othertimes I just eat rubbish and do very little!
