It is pretty silly imo, i imagine that it will be pretty much a long winded formality if you did apply as long as you didnt do something crazy in the interview etc! Maybe standard powers will pave the way for options to transfer force.

lol, i see your point. Every safer neighbourhood pcso is allowed to drive grade 5 already as soon as they have passed! So its not like these new tpt pcsos would be a higher driving grade. Its not easy easy, but it doesnt require any specialist skills, so if you can drive, you should be able to pass ...

grade 5 is the most basic, just normal driving around of cars. Its what every safer neighbourhood pcso is already.

I remember reading that for PCSOs to have traffic warden powers they have to be employed as traffic wardens and then designated PCSO powers, and it wasnt legal for them to employ you as PCSOs and then give you traffic warden powers.
