It'll be interesting to see how it gets debated by the Fed. Have to try and get hold of a transcript of it afterwards. In green are the relevent bits from Jan Berry's opening speech to the Federation conference. Much to my surprise she doesn't seem to be to critical of us and she even accepts that ...

PCSOs and the FED Let me make this clear you will not be invited to join the FED These things are put on the agenda to allow the views of the FED reps to be aired and reported on. Can never say NEVER micky!!!! I wouldn't be surprised if we are invited to join the Fed in 5 years time or so (if we ar...

This is where the Fed has really screwed my head up cos one minute they are slagging us off, the next minute they are debating whether we should be allowed to join the Fed.

I just cant make heads or tails of what they are thinking at the moment.

FEDERATION - STRIKE ACTION - PCSO's

Discovered on SKY NEWS today that the Federation are looking into the possibilities of Police Officers being able to strike. If this happens then the Fed will become a full-blown trade union and all this is because of the creation of us - Police Community Support Officers. Surprisingly though Jan Be...

I have got to challenge Dick Childs woefull investigation in Headingly as it is possibly the most shoddiest piece of work i've ever seen. Although the PCSOs' job is to stop anti-social behaviour, Mr Child witnessed two officers apparently joining in the fun with a group of noisy girls at 11.30pm nea...

Confrontational or not ????

Dick Child done his own investigation into anti social behaviour and claimed PCSO's and the local bouncers in Headingly ( i assume that's Yorkshire) were having no effect in reducing ASB and in some cases were making it worse. errm..............Call me thick but didn't the Mirror's report highlight ...

I couldn't believe it myself BB.

I believe my colleague had a few strong words with the Underground staff at the time and he's still adament that he's not getting involved with anything that involves the railways. :(

I must admit, i always thought BTP PCSO's for the Underground were entitled to free travel.

I know my Insp son who works out of Victoria BR is entitled to free travel on the overland trains with his local train operator.

CONFUSING OR WHAT? :?

Two of my colleagues were alerted to an incident on the Underground by a member of staff. Naturally they went down to investigate ofcourse and to their horror a senior member of staff went on the tannoy system and shouted "Can the PCSO's leave the station as you are not entitled to free travel". Thi...

The fed only accepted us because it suited there cause though kentishman, which is anti PCSO. If you go onto the polfed website and go back through the archives and look at the things they used to say about specials 6-8yrs ago they are a mirror image of what they are now saying about PCSO`s. It is ...
