The reason recorded assaults are so low in our force is due to them being recorded incorectly. My assault was recorded as a s47 rather than being crimed as a section 47 on a (accredited person excersing there powers). This has nothing to do with it mate. It is ALL about filling in the health and sa...

Am i right in thinking you only have around 8 months service?? you are a sprogg with no idea. who talks rubbish. 97% of stabbings are in the mid s...

Iven though we are in a non conflict roll we are a member of the police force and as such people out there wont like you. sometimes incidents happen out of your control and having a vest is there for out own protection. we have to wear ours it is not optional and I for one would not leave the stati...

Darkknight, I would not bother wasting your money on an overt stab vest, the CC has designated the uniform to be worn by PCSOs and any variations on it will not be tolerated and your supervision should be ensuring that the corporate image you present is one that fits in with force guidelines as per ...

Never used it, however i would only use it if i feared for my own or a MOTP safety, i would try not to use it for someone making off, all this can be done over the air when free. The role is meant to be non confrontational, if someone is making off, let them (dependant on offence of course, :D ), it...

It's only the odd PC that feels threatned by our role that goes on and on about us having nothing at all! I dont think its that they are threatened by the role the reason they do not want us to having PPE. I personally feel that PCSOs should not have any form of PPE, you are starting to blur...

Assessment Centre, Interview Or Both??

At the moment each force is setting its own 'required standard' some forces are asking PCSOs to do assessment centres and others interviews, and then there are those that do both  So what does your force do?? Here PCSOs undergo an Assessment Centre and interview in a shortened version of th...

Re: H.A.T.O's forum

Hi, i am a little surprised at this new forum being set up, as I was aware that they have all been told that under no circumstances should any of them discuss ANYTHING to do with their job, they have been told under no uncertain terms that it won't be tolerated! so wandered how it will work, not a ...
