Re: BlackBerrys

They can be killed off, yes. You have five cracks at your password, and if it is still wrong, will mean you will personally have to take it to a specialized branch of Orange network, where it will take a long time to be corrected again! Trouble is the key pads are very small, and it is very easy to ...

BlackBerrys

How many PCSOs among us have now been issued with blackBerrys?

I think they are great to carry around, and have instant mobile access to the internet, emails, etc. Much more sensible that relying on access an office computer.

No idea what I will be doing for the next three months. I see orthopaedic consultant on the 21st of this month, and then wait, probably fo...

Re: the union for PCSOs? UNISON?

UNISON like most unions are a useless bunch of crap artists. I know people who have paid in for years and now pulled out. You get half hearted support from half baked donkeys. I was a shop steward for many years with SOGAT and G@AT I resigned my role after ten years, because they became a big time s...

Re: Who thinks we should have handcuffs

I think this is a much harder and deeper question than it seems on the surface. There are many pros and cons. At the end of the day however, I feel cuffs should be an essential part of our standard equipment, but should only be used in extreme circumstances.

Oh yes, that was absolutely brilliant. Very well done Tracey. A great example of what P.C.S.O.s can do.

Re: Where's the role going?

However the role role evolves, it will always be the police who are out in front financially. £1000 Xmas bonus too! We are the poor sods who get the crap, and take it too. Sad old world, isn't it?

Re: Jan Berry Strikes Again!

She is right, apart from the fact that the yob element don't respect P.C.S.O.s. They have overall, more respect for us than frontline policing. We can get closer to them, and if not earning total respect, get a lot more than most of the police.

Re: London Seige shootout!

We just don't know what was in this man's head. I can't work it out at all. The whole thing was tragic, but the end result was obvious, if you shoot at police. Maybe he did just wnat to die. Maybe we will never know, but it is certainly bizzare, and so very sad.

Re: Boris Johnson wants to give PCSOs more powers

I don't trust any political party. Biris can't do worse than his idiot predicessor, but he can do just as badly, and I think he will. Boris loves publicity, and I think Boris loves Boris. A total a------e, just like Livingstone.

Absolutely ludicrous. Just what sort of person is she. No sympathy at all. Just a common thief. She is a disgrace to the name of P.C.S.O.s A totally rotten apple.

Re: TIME FOR ME TO GO

Thanks to you guys for your comments I will represent myself, on Friday, and just be honest and open. There is nothing more I can do. Bad luck with injuries, definately, but I cant blame the police for saying if I can't phsically fulfill my role, then it's no good to them. If it was something I had ...
