Could've written this rant on any of a number of threads at the mo, just so happened I got the urge when I opened this one, so apologies for not being 'thread specific'. I am getting more and more gobsmacked at the negative attitude towards PCSOs of some PCs and even supervision level  (tell ...

We were warned in training that most accidental pressing of emergency buttons have happened when people have taken handsets home. Do you have a power supply in your locker then???
Our Airwave terminals have their own mini-lockers with sockets and chargers in, it's each officers responsibility to lock 'em in there on charge at the end of every shift.

Thought that was the norm, obviously not.

I missed it tonight due to work, was the PCSO that detained for crim. dam. the bloke that's always seen patrolling on his own? Same one that's working a Sec. 30 on his estate? If so I have to say he is the nearest to any 'real life' PCSOing that goes on in my neck of the woods, has brought some credi...

There is absolutely no way I'm standing back to observe if any colleague of mine is getting a pasting. So long as the radio room have been alerted to where we are I'm getting stuck in. I would like to think those I work with would do the same thing, in fact I KNOW they would. There have been some in...

Helps me to be seen in streets that claim they never see you and have picked up some great intel by being stopped on residents path...
