Re: A First for PCSOs

Arthur

It's not about giving a £1,000 out of your own pocket. It's about helping to raise the £1,000,000 needed to make the film. There are many ways for individuals to get involved. Some of them might just help supplement your wages at the same time.

A First for PCSOs

Here's an oportunity for you guys that you really can't turn down. As far as I'm aware there has not been a PCSO portrayed in a feature film. I'm currently producing a film called Brothers In Law. It is a film about an armed robber and his brother in law a policeman. The script is written but you gu...

Its comment like that than make me think you are sometimes in ko-ko land.. So you’re saying all I have to do to get more than two panda cars on at peak time, is just tell the management that its required and there are issues with having just two. What i said was it was an issue for your management....

I don't get it..... even when I was a PC if i was outnumbered or felt that to talke a positive action would escalate the level of violence and result in me being injured I would call for back up before I intervened. I can't remember actually running away from anybody but I certainly stood back and w...

the writer says same scenerio and it is in so much as the begging takes place ay the same location but then the reation to the intervention is different. Ist scenerio PCSOs from Rutcminton Abbey, in Scottsborugherrr, North East of England (yes, it doesn’t exist, I know!) have limited powers, they have a uniform which makes it hard to distinguish them from traffic wardens, and their training is just four weeks long. PCSOs Ken and Barbie are on patrol...

I don't know if I'm missing the point here. But in you scenerio the BTP deal with the incident wrongly. The man has committed a relevant offence namely begging he gives a false details and therefore commits a further offence, but you deal with him by issueing a PND for abusive language. In your scen...

abdi said On top of that government fiddling with training schools has led to shortages of police and a slow down in numbers coming through. An addition year waiting for officers would break the system. The Government has not interfered with training schools. The simple fact is that there are more p...

Thanks Anthony and all the others who filled in the survey. I will probably do a similar one when I get round to it. I have used monkey survey a few times now and have a better understanding of how it works. So some of the questions could have been rolled into one.

only 21 people took the survey, which isn't really enough. However i thought i'd give those who did an update some of it is quite suprising and intresting. Only one person was not a PCSO a third had over three years service 19 were make and only two were female age wise was an evenish spread from 18...
