PCSO with white traffic hats?
Have just been watching the news and noticed GMP PCSO's wearing white traffic officer style hats, is this a new thing and whats the explaination?

If they were conducting an authorised road check then ill eat my hat. I was merely showing that all PCSO's do have a power to stop vehicles as people were saying we dont.

The only littering ticket power is using local council tickets (which is ridiculous because i would probadly have to carry around 3 different ticket books on me) but our ticket for littering in my local area is £80 so higher than the police PND

There is a specific grant from central government that funds PCSOs only and cannot be used to fund anything else. Not sure if it's already been mentioned but I'd be suprised if not... Lancashire look to be making 180 PCSO's redundant very shortly due to funding cuts from their council. Some are already underway and the rest will follow shortly. Come the new year the force will then look at the rest of the PCSO...

http://www.policecouldyou.co.uk/pcso/pcso_vacancies.php As far as I am aware they still publish vacancies here same with police officers and nobody is recruiting currently. They are talking reductions in Lancs and some forces have issued their PCSO's redundancy warnings.

Ahh we have one of them, hes also our beach patrol and really useful. im guessing assesments are different from council to council.
