Bit of a non-story really.

Boy kicks ball against wall.

Neighbour doesn't like it, but instead of speaking to the family, phones the polis.

PCSOs arrive and ask him to stop and he does.....

Re: PCSO Cyclists

We do two-day course and get decent kit, but still have to wear our stabbies with a lightweight fluro on top. Although the new stabbies are lighter and easier to move in.

Re: Baton Carrying Security

1. I do not accept that Northants Police HR are correct in this matter. Have you phoned Charlotte yet? 2. I wrote a series of emails to HMRC, as THEY are the arbiters. Please read the statement on their website HERE . I have - you are describing them as "the arbiters" yet 17 months after you contac...

Sorry Arthur, I didn't know you were bald. :slzip:

Not sure what you mean by that.

Re: Baton Carrying Security

I did not see the point in asking my employer about the role (we don't have PCSOs) and you say that you work for Northants Police so I contacted them. Maybe if you did this a while back instead of trying to get the HMRC to back up your claim you would not be in this position. Although I can see why ...

Re: Baton Carrying Security

That's already posted on this thread and it has since been confirmed that PCSOs are not Crown Servqnts, so what was the point of posting it again.

Please ask your employer if you are and let us know what they say.

Arthur ASCII wrote:Point taken, but don't get the idea that there's anything that a PCSO "can#t deal with". If we don't have the powers to deal directly, we call for back-up - just like a Police Officer.
Arthur, please.

That's not the same as "deal with".

Re: Baton Carrying Security

You can easily resolve the debate by providing a definitive statement from HMR&C. Until then I will continue to speculate, and I refuse to make the subject a "no-go" area on your say so - IMHO it's unfinished business. Arthur, face facts. Fact: you say that you contacted the HMRC "After about an ho...
