annestark58 you'll only get out of the PCSO role what you put into it. I know PCSO's that walk around all day, moaning they are tired, bored and want to join up as a PC. After noting the figures for the number of police officers in the UK reg officers about 141.000 special constables 13.000 CSOs 15.000 its always strikes me as rather amusing that Joe public be it in the press at meetings, down the pub or just in the street always says " you never see the police do ...

You find if it is an area with many houses having comuters that the public are more willing to comunicate by email, so if the co-ordinator has an email address ( or would like to set a N.Watch email up, it seems to work even more smoothly ) if there are houses inbetween without computers, the houses...

Second Thoughts,,,, I have a new sarge.... :( I have new Boots.... :( Its winter !!! :( :( and its just after Christmas so my trousers will feel too tight.......... Couple of months time, My sarge and my boots will be wore in , my trousers will fit and the Sun will be shining again :P :P :P

N.Watch, I have spent the last few months setting up new watches where there is interest and we have also had a meeting with the N.W Cordinators. N.Watch goes well with the SNT , as it shows what working together can do. We have had good information from some of the watches and even some of the slow...

I would say as a mum with older children , it doesnt get a lot easier as they get older. They still want or need to see you , and you have the after school activitys ( and holidays to work round ) Again it is organasation, team work, and support , knowing where you should be at what time. with the Shop Watch radio. do you find that the shops expect us ( PCSOs ) to go in and arrest the shoplifter , as its going to be the PCSOs carrieng the radio most often

SHOP WATCH

Our SNT has just joined the SHOP WATCH in our area ( like a PUB WATCH ) and one member of the team is going to carry the Shop Watch Two Way linked Radio, have any others PCSO joined Shop Watch with the radio, and did it work well, any obviose problems to look out for ??

On the bright side, pale blue shirts are easier to wash, and less likely to be dyed a diffrent colour ( i do have slightly diffrent shades of blue, old new dyed!! )

But in the past i have dyed white police shirts pink, blue and beige also a few with ink all over ""
