i THINK THAT PCSOS SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN LAUNCHED AND I DONT KNOW ABOUT YOU BUT I FIND I GET MORE SUPPORT OFF THE OLD SCHOOL BOBBYS THAN THE NEW RECRUITS. WE HAVE BEEN IN FORCE UP HERE FOR JUST OVER 2 YEARS AND THE BOBBYS HAVE SEEMED TO START UNDERSTANDING OUR ROLE BUT STILL THEY CHOOSE TO PUT US ...

The bottom line is that the public love the PCSOs. You do a smashing job and are the future of law enforcement in this country. The only mistake was the badging of you good people. You should be sworn Constables with accepted lesser powers like our counterparts in Europe. the joke is the likes of im...

Forget about the Federation as good as they are on a local level representing officers. Nationally they have been a toothless tiger for years. Their PCSO objections will be batted to the boundary with everything else they have complained about. Name one change the national fed have stopped, arguably ...

Why isn't it bright? Law enforcement is being split up. from April next year S.O.C.A will be our FBI they will not be sworn constables yet will have far reaching powers. V.O.S.A already do a far better job of dealing with illegal vehicles and HGVs than we ever did. The highways agency patrol our mot...

Tell me that they pay 2 training officers for 3 whole days on two occasions hiring private venues at £150 per day to teach PCSOs about new powers and duties and this is just my are...

PNDs Tickets £50 and £80 what do you think.

An interesting converstaion today has sparked a thought. What do the PCSOs think about issueing tickets on the streets. You will( or at least my force) be soon able to issue £80 tickets for section 5 on the streets and £50 tickets for various other offences such as litter and varios supply of alcoho...

Believe me if some one was doing this the regs would pick up on it straight away and the person would be classed a first rate Walt a figure of fun. If this didn't cure it the supervision who have eyes remember would pick him up. We have a PCSO who has bought loads of extra kit and has a bat belt so ...

My opinion is "If it isn't broken don't mend it". To progress to the upper "echelons" of the site takes a degree of commitment to the site regardless of current occupation and its monitored. The individuals who have caused grief would have been, under current proposals have been admitted carte-blanch...

So yours is a no vote then Jenni
It's just an idea one of quite a few floating around, none of which are intended to alienate anyone.

Re: legal or illegal

Its easily justifiable and reasonable as a PC told you to do it, wouldnt be a problem in court, but unfortunatly in this job too many people have their promotion/arse covering excersises higher than getting the job done Hopefully most of you have been taught better than that. You will be held accou...

Its impossible to screen Jenni the internet is quite anonymous. We can do our best to try and filter juveniles out. Often the posts give them away, we haven't had a problem on here but I have known it elsewhere where people have not been who they purport to be. Buy me a few ciders and I will tell you...

I am a PC and the tickets I got issued with are council ones I have issued a few, dog fouling near schools gets my goat when it's not cleared up especially when the dog is a huge monster called Tyson with the owner on benefits but driving a new 4 X 4, I digress ! I also issue then to those who throw...
