Re: Haverhill town centre parking problems

we can not deal with any parking issues or even obstruction and yet we are told to give words of advice and if that does not work we re expected to to get a pc to deal with it. However it should be CEO's dealing with the above subject.

In my force we PCSO's are not allowed to issue any traffic related tickets such as Obstruction, cycling with no lights etc....oh! and we cant give a ticket for cycling on a pavement, if we see someone cycling on a pavement we are expected to call for a police officer, its all done under OSCO tickets...

Re: Powerless PCSO's want more Powers

How do you feel about this Tonkertoy ? I for one will welcome this change. However I doubt that this will ever happen as this would mean the Job evaluation have to be reviewed again also more responsibility would mean that PCSO's would want more money.

Re: Anti-Social Behaviour Bill 2013 - New PCSO Powers

I know the the PRA 2002 thats why I was really suprised when they said this. I will do a bit more digging however I believe thats this is done in house force level as its all due to these OSCO tickets as they are still new.

Re: Anti-Social Behaviour Bill 2013 - New PCSO Powers

Hi
Moi1985

I called CTU (Central Ticket Unit) they said to me that we as PCSO's can not issue any traffic related tickets including cycling on pavement as this is all covered on the new OSCO tickets.
