Re: PCSO's acting outside their remit....

If he did that to me he would be placed straight on the floor and nicked. I would even use his radio to call a van and his supervisor. This guy must be reported, if he has done this on this occasion he has done it before and will continue doing it. He must be dealt with effectively. He is even influ...

Re: GMP PCSO's ON ITV NEWS - POLICE FED DEMEANING US (AGAIN)

Hi I'm more disturbed that they called that they called the transsexual Para a Royal Marine. I have no problem with transsexuals but calling a Para a Royal Marine is bang out of order. :( As for the PCSO issue this is a daily occurrence where I work. PCSOs are regually subjected to abuse as all the ...

As a PC I am totally against the idea, I also believe the vast majority of PCs would be against it. The roles are completely different and I believe its far better to throw new recruits in the deep end instead of having them be a PCSO for a year, The learning curve is better this way. On top of that...

For all the Met CSOs you can do a Met first aid at work course which lasts a week. I did mine a couple of weeks ago and we had a couple of CSOs there as well.

Sorry bobby but they do. I recommend you speak to a prison officer and ask how they deal with violent prisoners. Like police they have there own riot squad for every prison when needed.

Our PPE isn't just for defense it is also for attack. We go into houses with our batons out fully intending to hit people. If someone is going round threatening everyone with a knife we go up to them and CS them in the face. We have riot shields which we are taught to use the sharp edge to punch peo...

I still can't see the need for PPE other than the protective vests. I hardly use mine and when i do I am purposely going to calls involving knives, domestics or fights. I can see a reason for PCSOs having perhaps increased officer safety training but thats it. if you are getting in such dangerous si...

First you need to identify them. Next time you see them write down each description from a far if needs be to prevent them running away. Keep doing this and build up a profile. Then once you recognise them, your be able to approach them when they aren't in there gang and just have a friendly chat. I...

I think there will be some health and safety actions against individual forces if they are putting PCSOs at increasing risk to try to fudge there figures.

We had an urgent assistance outside a bar/club last night. We all came a running and the specials had there asps out. Through out the night there were constant fights despite police being there for the previous double GBHs. If drunk people are prepared to commit GBH and then fight armed specials the...
