What consitutes solving a crime? I positively identified a local street-drinker as being responsible for a shoplifting incident via an ID circulation which resulted in him being arrested and charged. Is that solving a crime? I've done this too. Three times now! Thats what I dont get, surely we all ...

I also think its important that you should deal in pairs on a single person, purely as safety plus it gives you that little bit extra confidence. If I'm off duty and on my own I never (well almost never) approach groups of wrong doers. My first responce is straight on the phone and 999 with posting ...

At the moment I don't trust anything about government funding. There actions don't match what they are saying about the economy. From what I know and studied recently I think our economy is in a bad way. I think the government aren't willing to admit it due to causing panic and giving the Tories amm...

RE "Look at the pale silver and blue hat bands in the dark and then look at a chequered hat band in the dark. The chequered one is much more visible and think this is the main concern at the moment." Sorry I don't see your point at all. Surely your high vis would show at night far more. Also at nig...

Rather than medication you have have to get a grip and do something about it. For example set yourself a simple achievable target and once done move on to something a little harder. I'm also a believer that exercise can help you down because it gives you a boost of endorphins after.

RE "Wrong you are there to support the officers that you rely on to come and help you. We have authority to POLICE it too, and we DO!."

I strongly disagree on this. You may do your community thing but here in London however you do not support officers, its more the other way around.

RE "A defence Barrister could have a field day with non HO approved techniques." I have never had any problems touch wood. I had one defense lawyer challenge me about now his client got a bleeding nose. He was kind of stuck when I told him it was me who did it and took full responsibility followed b...

RE "ABDI our force policy is we use force trained techniques which are HO approved, nothing more nothing less. If you deviate from from policy you will end up in trouble, particularly if you are being investigated for use of unnecessary force." Sorry I'd didn't now you were being investigated. Howev...

There are a few times you can arrest for public order based on clothing. If the clothing had very abusive wording or pictures, perhaps with a religious or racist connotation then that would be fine. For example wearing a German SS uniform and going to a Jewish funeral then you are in play. However b...

RE "Yeah great idea, let's use non home office approved / force approved idea, get the force sued and get disciplined, great idea! " Sorry but I don't understand your argument.
