Re: MET PCSO Sickness

Ok, that'll do, Plasticandproud, if you wind people up by passing dangerous assumptions off as fact, don't be surprised when people challenge you. This has gone off topic and the question asked has been answered.

Re: Favourite classic computer games

Red Alert was great, I spent a lot of time playing that. I managed to link two Playstations together on quite a few occasions as well and play multi-player skirmishes against a few people. Think I surprised some people by flying chinook helicopters round the edge of the map (invisible on radar) off ...

Re: To Kill a Mockingbird

I remember reading the book back when I was at school. Definitely one of the more interesting novels we had to go through! Great stuff, entertaining and very educational.

Re: MET PCSO Sickness

You won't get in any kind of trouble, or have problems for going on strike. Not sure where you are getting these ideas from.

As for ones sickness record, the less sickness the better obviously but they will check the individual circumstances of each person.

Re: lottery syndicate

I'm going to guess C as well. Wowsers, lucky it wasn't a big win! I'm in a lottery syndicate where I work. Quite well run and every time we win a few quid an email is sent round straight away stating exactly how much was won. I don't expect we will ever win, but I would be gutted if I was left out! ...

Favourite classic computer games

What are some of you favourite computer games over the years? One of mine goes back quite a long time now, which we played on the Atari ST. Captive which had 65,535 levels. It was calculated it’d take about 40 years to beat them all! Great fun working with a mate trying to get through the challengin...

Sounds good. I look forward to seeing exactly how it works. Lovefilm are generally pretty good from my experience.

It will be interesting to see if they catch any criminals using this scheme. I'd be surprised if this becomes popular, but stranger things have happened!

Re: What if I have to transfer to another borough?

Wow, I was actually working in a Supermarket when I dealt with the call. No joke! :slww: Once you've been posted to a borough they will want you there for some considerable time, so speak up now if there is a problem with the choice. There is generally a rule that once you've moved to a borough you ...

Re: Television Programme about PCSO's

Thanks Katie. I imagine most Forces will instruct their PCSOs not to speak directly to the media, and while it would be confidential as you say, I don't see anyone wanting to take any unnecessary risks. And as the PCSO role is still relatively new in the grand scheme of things, I don't think you wil...

Re: Thorpe Park Security

The Thorpe farm was so good, I shall always remember it. So good if going with the family. Slightly more difficult to get the mates to go though, lol.

I wonder how much the security get paid if they feel the need to issue handcuffs.

I want a miner's lamp! Does anyone know of a PCSO who's been given an award recently? The above story is inspiring.

Re: PCS call for strike (again)

THFC, I see your main purpose here seems to be trolling and winding people up. I've had a quick look through your posts and, well, no surprises. Consider yourself warned. If you want a ban, carry on being nasty, your behaviour is tiresome to say the least. I make no apologies for saying this publicl...

Re: LOST :PC GAME

Haha, really Daniel? I thought that was the main reason to stick with Sky after their bust up with Virgin Media! I thought Lost was entertaining, but I can't generally make sure I watch each episode religiously when it comes to these sort of things. And apparently this is imperative for Lost, or you...
