Re: Thorpe Park Security

The Thorpe farm was so good, I shall always remember it. So good if going with the family. Slightly more difficult to get the mates to go though, lol.

I wonder how much the security get paid if they feel the need to issue handcuffs.

Re: how about awards for community support officers

I want a miner's lamp! Does anyone know of a PCSO who's been given an award recently? The above story is inspiring.

Re: PCS call for strike (again)

THFC, I see your main purpose here seems to be trolling and winding people up. I've had a quick look through your posts and, well, no surprises. Consider yourself warned. If you want a ban, carry on being nasty, your behaviour is tiresome to say the least. I make no apologies for saying this publicl...

Haha, really Daniel? I thought that was the main reason to stick with Sky after their bust up with Virgin Media! I thought Lost was entertaining, but I can't generally make sure I watch each episode religiously when it comes to these sort of things. And apparently this is imperative for Lost, or you...

A) are you a PCSO?? Yes B) have you been a PCSO for over 2 years? Yes, over 2 years. 1) when you joined 2 years ago - what did you think of the PCSO role then? It was exciting, I didn't have much of an idea what I was doing. I was just happy to be in the police at that point! what do you think of it...

I called the tax office a while back asking for this laundry discount and she said, fine, but I would have to send in my P60 via post and wouldn't get the thing back. So I decided against it at the time. This thread reminded me to try again though and hopefully I would talk to someone more reasonabl...

I would say if you're not sure if you can detain them, ask them to stay where they are, then call up on the radio for assitance as you normally would. I've never actually told anyone that they're detained, you simply ask them to stay put. Then it's down to them. You can work out later on if they've ...

Mine seems ok thus far, but I do wish they would have invested more time in making sure all the ludricous bugs were ironed out before issuing us with them. Anyway they seem to be doing the job at the moment, but we are not 'Live with them yet'. We shall see just how good they are soon I am sure. I'm...

I steal the CCTV... But seriously 'Collect' is the correct term and I would go with saying this myself as there is a big difference between the two. You'll probably get away with using the word seize for the rest of your career but I always say better safe than sorry, and for the sake of one syllabl...

Personally I have heard nothing that backs this up, I have heard people (PCSOs) suggest it but that's all. One problem with the idea is, would it mean no longer working as closely with police officers? Thus a likelyhood to regain past misunderstandings between each other and unnecessary tension may ...

No way would I work for these people... no stab vests? Forget it, goodbye.
Whoever made this decision deserves to be fired. Surrey police just gets more and more laughable.

I shall be looking to rent a place around Hatfield or Potters bar. And after a couple of years or so, I'll attempt to purchase a place I expect, but where, I'm not entirely sure.

I haven't used it myself. Hopefully won't need to either. Of course it's only for an emergency but it's your call as to what that is. I chased some drug dealers down the street and didn't use it, but in the circumstances I did not believe anyone was in any immediate danger.
