Hi guys! New to the forum so be patient if this is the wrong one!!

Was wondering if there was a fitness test for Avon and Somerset? And what it consisted of?

And what happens if you fail!

Cheers guys

I can only comment on Northumbria's but they may be the same - if indeed it turns out they have them (is all recruitment standardised nationally now?)

ours was 15m bleep test which amounts to around 4mins running and then a push pull test, where you have to push 34kgs and pull 35kgs.

The test isn't hard (especially the push pull if you're a bloke) but if you have zero fitness then you should train for it in my opinion.

Don't know about pcso's. For pc's it's the standard 5.4 on bleep test and push/pull 35k.

You get three chances at the fitness test so don't sweat it too much.
