Yeah its probably right that.
Either way it is what it is. It doesn't matter if you don't like it.

If you're looking at PCSOs though, no fitness requirements. (In most places I would imagine).

Err yes we do, I had one in January, and I know newer PCSOs also had it. So when did you get in? 5 years+ ago. I know they never used to have one, but they certainly do now and the pass rate is 5.4.You also have to pass the push/pull test.

so they must have got rid of it since u got in. Whover u know who is having one they will have a medical but no bleep test i can assure u.

ask larcymosa or the other ones going into GMP this time

so i had my medical in april and i can tell u i never had one of the other 6 people i know who got in at the same time as me

In Lancs there is no fitness only the medical, the fitness for PC is 5.4 bleep and 35kgs on the push / pull dyno machine - I passed the fitness and i am a smoker and entered " the life begins at" phase and the only physical stuff that i did was riding round on bike during tour .All the football and other activities that i used to do have faded away but i still managed to meet the requirements :slwo:

I think it's ridiculous that certain forces don't have a fitness test, adds fuel to the fire of the non-believers.

u know they need to make a programme on PCSO and what they do and put it on itv so people can see

i like to see it asssss

10 years ago u had a local bobby and everyone knew him

i like to this we are now the local bobbies and the local face

i think powers of arrest will ruin this job as thats what makes pcso approachable etc
