As yet another example of police being used to do what I see as not a police issue, we have the introduction today of the law (from the Dept of Health) that it's an offence to smoke in a car when an under 18 is in it. Instructions on our force website is to give verbal advice or if deemed absolutely necessary, an F192 Traffic Report and summons the person(s) to court. I can't see it being enforced very much if at all. Plods are too busy and PCSO's can't stop moving traffic. I'm not sure if we have the power to demand name and address anyway for this.
I have seen the truth and it makes no sense.

I wouldn't even worry about it, with all the other stuff going on this is so far down the list of priorities it's beneath my feet.
