The first of December saw the commencement of section 38 of the Policing and Crime Act 2017, which relates to police staff powers. Part 1 and 2 of Schedule 4 of the Police Reform Act 2002 are now deleted and we can be designated with any power of a constable (with a few exceptions).
Question is, has any force updated their PCSO Designation Card to take in to account these changes?

moi thanks for that, can you give an example of this in practice please?
Re: Changes to PCSO powers
The power to issue an FPN for cycling on the pavement no longer comes from paragraph 1(2)(b) of
Schedule 4 to the Police
Reform Act 2002, it now comes from Section 72 of the Road Traffic Act 1835, same as a PCs power.
Also, there is now no such thing as Standard Powers, all powers are at the discretion of the Chief Constable.
