Prison chiefs are battling to solve a staff crisis by hiring “chuggers” to stand in High Streets and beg passers-by to be jail guards.
The recruiters, likened to charity muggers, flag down shoppers while wearing white jackets with a picture of a prisoner across the back by the slogan: “Is it in you to be a prison officer?”

Might work well . . . . until the prospective employee sees the pay and conditions.
Meanwhile WYP are recruiting more PCSOs. Don't know how many or where they'll be posted. We've got our fingers crossed we'll get some. Our division is supposed to be at full strength but at our particular station it doesn't feel like it.
